Ellie and Jack Shannon (Lesley Manville and Hugo Weaving) start a jewellery business in Burma. As well as being renowned for its rubies, Burma is also home to one of the corners of the infamous heroine ‘Golden Triangle’. Events turn sinister when one of their biggest customers, Samira Nazib (Pamela Rabe) reveals the true nature of their business and the Shannons ends up spying on her and her partner for the Australian Federal Police…
